How It Works

ActFive covers five areas to make sure you're a world-class speaker. You may need to work on all five or just one or two. We'll find out once we tailor your coaching.

1. Voice 


The voice is a tool to be utilised (and most people don't know how). Everything from proven ways to keep an audience engaged through to the use of the voice in commanding presence and authority in your field all the way to vocal warm-ups to make sure you are stage ready. 

 

2. Body Language 


The body conveys much of our communication and even scarier is that most of us don't know how we're using it when we're in front of people. Learning to be yourself while portraying yourself confidently is key to gaining authority in your specific field and building trust with your audience. 

 

3. Psychology


The greatest battle to becoming a good speaker, or even good to great speaker is all in the mind. If you can control this, you can overcome any nerves, any unplanned mistakes, a dreaded Q and A panel and more. Learning your unique signals to this will be key to having the mental fortitude to succeed. Even if you don't struggle with nerves, there are practices to implement which will get your ready for any talk, much like an athlete.

 

4. Storytelling 

Yes, everyone is talking about storytelling. But for good reason: when done well it really works. Our brains are hardwired to hear and tell stories, so why wouldn't you utilise this skill when speaking? Keynotes, presentations and day-to-day leadership can benefit enormously from excellent storytelling.  Our founder was an actor, so he's lived this out and is very passionate about it! However, it is a skill and 

 

5. Structure 
 

No talk can be thrown together, there is a real skill to formatting. From how you hook in an audience, how you maintain their attention and how you conclude strongly, leaving them with a lasting impression. We offer help with creating and formatting your keynote, presentations or talk for any occasion to make sure it's as professional and uniqie to you as possible.
